Why I Only Plan Trips to the British Isles—And What That Means for You

There’s a reason I said goodbye to “anywhere in the world” and leaned all the way into castles, coastlines, and cream teas.

Once upon a time, I planned trips everywhere—from Caribbean cruises to African safaris to that one time someone asked about ice hotels in Sweden (yes, really).

But the more I listened to my clients—and to myself—the clearer it became:
I don’t just want to send people anywhere. I want to send them somewhere that stirs something.

And for me, that place is the British Isles.

So, why only the British Isles?

Because this corner of the world has everything I love—and everything my clients didn’t know they were craving.

Where else can you:

  • Sleep in a 16th-century castle and wake up to Highland mist?
  • Walk coastal trails that have existed longer than your family tree?
  • Wander into a pub and find poetry taped to the bar?
  • Sit in the very cafe JK. Rowling wrote Harry Potter!?
  • Tee Off where the game of golf was invented?!

This region has soul. And the more I explored it—England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales—the more I realized: I don’t just know these places. I understand them.

That understanding lets me plan not just trips, but journeys that linger.

What This Means for You

It means your travel designer isn’t skimming Google and stitching together a generic itinerary. I’m immersed in this region—its history, its hidden spots, its moody coastal moods and unapologetically charming village life.

When you work with me, you’re not getting a generalist. You’re getting someone who:

  • Knows which afternoon tea feels like a hug (and which one just feels overpriced)
  • Can match you with your kind of castle (storybook turret or moody ruin?)
  • Has walked those rain-slicked streets and knows where to find shelter—and whisky
  • Knows which rail routes feel romantic vs. the ones that just feel long
  • Has a short list of tearooms with both gluten-free scones and charm
  • Can recommend coastal walks where the crowds aren’t (and the puffins are)
  • Knows which towns are worth the overnight—and which are better as lunch stops
  • Has strong feelings about whether your itinerary needs a market day or a museum
  • Can tell you where to find the perfect pub after a long day of walking
  • Will quietly redirect you from that “Instagram-famous” spot to somewhere better
  • Knows where the locals actually eat—and where the tourists think the locals eat
  • Has a go-to spot for late-night chips, a secret garden walk, and the best antique shop in town

And because I’ve narrowed my focus, I’ve deepened my resources, partnerships, and instinct. That’s what I bring to your trip.

Travel That Feels Like It Was Made for You (Because It Was)

Maybe you’ve done the whirlwind tours. Maybe you’re ready for something slower, richer, more… you.

My clients don’t want a one-size-fits-all itinerary. They want a trip that reflects their taste, their pace, and their sense of wonder.

And yes—sometimes that trip is a cruise or a group tour. But not just any cruise or tour.

I know how to weed out the duds—the cookie-cutter, corner-cutting ones that leave you more tired than transported—and connect you with the right-fit experiences:
The ones that offer real value for your time and budget, and align with your travel style. Whether you want all the logistics handled or you’re dipping your toes into something new, I’ll help you choose wisely.

Because even if you’re not looking for a fully custom journey (yet), you still deserve one that feels personal, thoughtful, and well matched to who you are.

Curious what a British Isles trip could look like for you?
Let’s talk. I’d love to hear what’s been tugging at your travel heart.
